This year marks a significant milestone for Graham, our Technical Sales Director, who has been an integral part of BFS Pressroom Solutions for 25 years! Graham’s journey began when he answered an ad in the Daily Mail, stepping into the role of Sales Exec during a time when the best job opportunities were found in the pages of national newspapers.

In those early days, BFS specialised in converting printing blankets with a less comprehensive range of pressroom consumables than today. Over the years, Graham’s passion and dedication helped bring new products to the market, including BFS’s own brands of chemicals and, following the acquisition of Tyke Rollers in 2007, roller recovery and manufacture of a diverse range of rollers from a second manufacturing facility at Haverhill.

Reflecting on his quarter-century with BFS, Graham says, “Everyday is a learning day, with  the pleasure of working alongside wonderful colleagues and customers, some of whom have become good friends.”

Graham’s journey into printing started early, beginning as an apprentice press minder straight from school and progressing through various roles in the industry. His innate curiosity, which he describes as being ‘nosey’, has driven his success as a Technical Sales Manager for BFS. Always seeking innovative solutions, Graham is passionate about helping printers tackle challenges with cutting-edge products. He does add that “selling industry leading products has always been an advantage…”

When asked about the most rewarding aspects of his job, Graham is clear, “Walking out of a successful meeting is always great, but what really does it for me is solving a customer’s problem. That’s where the real satisfaction lies. Often this may entail BFS engineering a unique customised part to solve the ‘puzzle’.”
