BFS Pressroom solutions takes a major step towards sustainability!
At BFS Pressroom Solutions, we are committed to addressing climate change concerns and reducing our environmental impact.
We’re proud to announce the completion of our new baseline Organisational Carbon Footprint Report (2023-24) in conformity with ISO 14064-1, brought to us by Business Sustainability Consultants – AD Frameworks.
While this is our first report with AD Frameworks, and therefore not directly comparable to previous data, it provides a crucial, science-based, benchmark for our ongoing efforts. This step is a testament to our commitment, as outlined in our Environmental Policy.
With a clear understanding of our organisation’s carbon footprint, we now plan to translate this data into specific product or service carbon footprints. This will enable us to communicate our environmental impact more transparently to our customers, particularly in terms of their ‘Further Indirect Emissions’ – more commonly known as ‘Scope 3 Emissions’.
With the use of carbon accounting software, our current report’s findings (available to view on our website) show that our carbon footprint (Scope 1 & 2) is estimated to be in the 3rd percentile (lowest 30%) for companies in our sector and size.
This is very promising. We are now looking into further commitments to long and short-term actions whilst we share our progress with you, towards a greener future.
