Maintenance
- It is essential that new rollers are conditioned prior to first use. Please contact BFS for further guidance.
- Printing rollers in operation have to be regularly cleaned with appropriate cleaners.
- Only use FOGRA approved cleaners suitable for the specific ink, roller system, or automatic washing device.
- It is very important to exclusively use media which is suitable for the respective rubber compound and application purpose
- Do not use cleaners containing esters or ketones (e.g., ethyl acetate or acetone) on NBR-based rubber rollers.
- Avoid aromatic hydrocarbons such as benzene, toluene, xylene, and chlorinated hydrocarbons.
- Mechanical cleaning (e.g., using sandpaper or a wire brush) is not recommended.
Storage
- Store rollers carefully to prevent deformation or mechanical damage. Ideally, they should be kept upright or suspended by their shafts.
- Store in a dry, dark place at a stable temperature (recommended: 15–22°C). Using the original UV protection paper
